Leadership cannot be separated from the responsibility inherent in it, as the core of this role is being accountable for the outcomes of one's actions. In an era of disruption filled with various challenges, a leader's ability to adapt or become ensnared by the changes of the times becomes crucial. This research employs a qualitative method and references relevant literature and journals to understand the essence of responsibility in the context of church leadership. This article discusses the price that leaders must pay, such as receiving criticism, pressure, and rejection from both internal and external sources. In the context of the church leader's responsibility to serve, discipline, and guide the congregation, the relevance of sacrifices made, such as draining energy, mental faculties, and even facing loneliness in carrying out duties, is apparent. Integrity in leadership becomes a focal point inseparable from ministry. The author aims to provide a deep understanding through this article, so that the spirit of Christian leaders remains steadfast in fulfilling their noble calling as co-workers of God.
