Cloud computing, a concept that is already extensively adopted and is expected to grow significantly, represents the information age of the future. The basic idea was created in the 1950s as big firms and organizations looked into remote data and application storage, despite utilizing modern terminology. The phrases Platform as a Service (PAAS), Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS), and Software as a Service (SAAS) lead in cloud computing in sharing of data and accessibility, it is economical, and it can bring a revolution in society. Therefore, this chapter explores some of the security problems relating to cloud computing witnessed in the past up to date in which a complete system for interchanging data securely is required. Further, the work outlined security issues inherent in the cloud environment, and a suitable mechanism for secure communication needs to be put in place. Finally, the chapter analyses the way that companies can gain additional market share through an understanding of their weaknesses and what the industry is currently doing, with the help of cloud computing.
