Situación actual del turismo sustentable en México

Abstract

This paper addresses sustainable aspects in tourism in Mexico, with the aim of presenting the current situation of the establishment of sustainable tourism, as well as describing the main sustainable tourist sites, the tourist centers where its implementation is lacking and the areas of opportunity to implement them. A bibliographic review of articles, books and web pages on the subject of sustainable tourism in Mexico. Mexico has made progress in the application of sustainability in tourism, including alternative practices; as well as in the inclusion of sustainability in mass tourism centers; however, efforts are still insufficient to achieve the sustainable development goals by 2030.
