Protection of Human Dignity

Abstract

The article the author notes that in the legal literature, the dignity is traditionally defined as a person’s self-esteem. However, as a result of the study, the author concludes that dignity should not be understood as a person’s selfassessment of his qualities. The author comes to the conclusion that the concept of “dignity”, the methods and measures of its protection need further theoretical understanding.
