Project Spotlight: Precast concrete fits builder’s vision

Abstract

With the use of the ConCoreFloor hollow-core flooring system from Nitterhouse Concrete Products Inc., in Chambersburg, Pa., the builder was able to achieve clear spans from 28 ft to 30 ft (8.5 m to 9.1 m) and add up to 8 in. (203 mm) more to the ceiling heights throughout a Maryland luxury home without the use of columns or steel beams. Nitterhouse. provided the precast concrete that was used for many of the amenities in this luxury home.
