A utilização do Arco de Maguerez como ferramenta metodológica em educação na saúde

Abstract

The theme of this work is health education, which is understood here as: initial training in health, continuing education in health and continuing education in health. In health education, active methods can be effective in developing reflexivity and engagement in everyday situations. Among them, the Arco de Maguerez stands out, which puts students in an active search for knowledge. This article is a scope review, based on the JBI Institute guidelines, according to the information in the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-Analyses - Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-SrC) Manual. Among the results, it is worth highlighting that challenges were encountered, highlighting low adherence, the educator's reduced perception of their educational role and the difficulties in carrying out the stages of the Maguerez Arch. Regarding the contribution of the method to learning, critical thinking, the search for changes and problem solutions, and the amplification of the student's skills stand out. It is expected that the problematizing methodology can be implemented in the health education process. Thus, the objective of this review was to map, in national and international literature, the application of the Maguerez Arc and its contributions as a tool for problematization methodology in the health education process. In light of these considerations, the relevance of the theme is reaffirmed as a way of understanding the problematization methodology, applied through the Maguerez Arc, in the health education process, in addition to this work serving as a tool to evaluate the ways of using the arc in this process.
