Inteligência artificial, vieses algorítmicos e racismo: o lado obscuro da justiça algorítmica

Abstract

This article aims to identify some negative externalities arising from non-observance of certain ethical standards in AI models. The study aims to clarify the importance of paying close attention to the database that are used in the construction of AI models, as well as listing possible solutions to reduce the incidence of biased algorithms and mitigate their harmful consequences. The justification for the scope of the work lies in the need to know the perverse effects that biased algorithms can produce in the justice system and in society in general, violating fundamental rights and catalyzing prejudices and segregations inherent to the society on which they are based. The inductive method is employed in the research phase and production of the research report; in the processing of the data, the Cartesian method is used; for verification of the results, it uses the inductive logic. As for the methodology, the exploratory and descriptive nature is used.
