Atomically dispersed Pd on ZrO2 for efficient nitrite electroreduction to ammonia

Abstract

Pd 1 /ZrO 2 is demonstrated as an efficient and robust NO 2 RR catalyst, attributed to the construction of Zr–Pd 1 –O motifs that can effectively activate NO 2 − , optimize the intermediate adsorption energies and suppress the competing H 2 evolution.
