Solution Focused Coaching Supervision

Abstract

This chapter "Solution Focused Coaching Supervision: Some Theory" delves into the foundation, epistemology, axiology and theory of change of Solution Focused practice as it pertains to Solution Focused coaching supervision. Its roots in social constructionist, post-structuralist and postmodern thoughts are delineated. How Solution Focused coaching supervision demonstrates adherence to these systems of thought is presented through the "Galveston Declaration", a declaration of Solution Focused, narrative and collaborative practitioners on the preferences of their practice contrasted with more traditional psychological approaches.
