Abstract
Abstract K 4 [(IF 5 ) 6 (HF 2 ) 4 ] was obtained from the reaction of K[HF 2 ] with liquid IF 5 . The compound was analyzed by single crystal and powder X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and quantum‐chemical calculations. It contains the largest molecular IF 5 /HF 2 − complex anion known so far. Surprisingly, the crystal structure of the A 4 B compound can be related to the Hg 4 Pt structure type.
