This research presents a novel computer vision-based system for real-time live sketching using a webcam. The aim of this study is to enable users, regardless of their artistic abilities, to engage in spontaneous and creative sketching, thereby fostering artistic expression and interactive experiences in a digital environment. The proposed system employs image processing to detect and analyze human gestures and movements captured through the webcam. In particular, the use of pose estimation and key point detection algorithms enables the system to accurately track the user's hand movements and interpret them as digital sketch strokes on a virtual canvas. The system is designed to be user-friendly, allowing seamless interaction between the user and the digital sketching interface. The evaluation of the system involved a series of user studies to assess its usability and overall performance. Results indicated that the proposed approach achieved impressive real-time sketching capabilities, demonstrating its potential as an engaging tool for digital artists, and designers alike. This study introduces a useful and approachable technique for live sketching using common cameras, which advances the field of interactive digital art.
