Real-time Power Quality Detection System Based on Genetic Algorithm and Wavelet Transform

Abstract

Power Quality (PQ) directly affects the reliability and stability of power system, so it is of great significance to monitor it in real time. This paper introduces a PQ real-time detection system based on Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Wavelet Transform(WT) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of PQ monitoring. Firstly, this paper analyzes the limitations of traditional methods in PQ monitoring, and expounds the motivation of introducing GA and WT. GA is applied to the optimization of system parameters to improve the adaptability and performance of the system. As a tool of signal processing, WT is used to effectively extract features from non-stationary signals. Experiments show that the system has strong robustness in noisy environment, and can accurately identify PQ problems and respond in real time. The results of this study provide new ideas and methods for the development of PQ real-time monitoring technology, and lay a foundation for the application of actual power system.
