Sign Least Mean Kurtosis and Least Mean Forth (SLMFK/LMF)-based power quality analysis in grid tied EV SPV system

Abstract

Integration of a Solar PV (SPV) system along with an Electric vehicle connected to 3 phase Grid is a quite cumbersome task. With integration of SPV, EV with Grid provides challenges like low Grid stability with low stiffness factor along with numerous power quality issues related to Voltage and current. Here in this paper we have focused on multifaceted interest on SPV, EV grid combination such as reducing Power quality issues, increasing stability of the Grid with proposed sign linear mean kurtosis method (SLMK) algorithm. EV along with SPV is acting as a non linear load from Grid point of view, So this paper focuses on the stability issues created by non linear load and to maintain qualitative power within IEEE-519 format. Furthermore the proposed algorithm is implemented as a controlled Grid EV SPV system in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
