Abstract

Cloud computing has revolutionized the way organizations manage their IT infrastructure by providing a flexible, scalable, and cost-effective solution for delivering computing resources as a service over the internet. OpenStack is an open-source cloud computing platform that provides a standardized framework for deploying private and public clouds. A typical OpenStack deployment consists of a set of interdependent components or services that work together to provide a complete cloud computing environment. The paper presents a deployment of an OpenStack private cloud to be used as a testbed for containerized workloads. A centralized architecture pattern is chosen and the Ceph platform is used as a distributed storage system. The proposed deployment is evaluated and confirmed to meet the required performance metrics.
