Abstract

The compatibility and mechanical properties of linear low density polyethylene/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer blends are investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, wide angle X-ray diffraction, dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)and static mechanical property measurements. Even DMAexperiments show that the amorphous phase is miscible and no cocrystallization miscibility is found in the blend system. Nevertheless, some interactions may exist between these two components depending on the blend compositions.
