A Dual Substrate Wideband Dual Polarization Vivaldi Antenna

Abstract

In this paper, a wideband dual substrate vivaldi antenna working at 2.3GHz-5.2GHz is designed, which consists of two substrate and two layers of metal radiation surface, and a microstrip-strip line-slot line feed. The radiation surface is a W-shaped exponential gradient trough, and the top radiator is located on the upper surface of the upper substrate, and the bottom radiator is located on the lower surface of the lower substrate. The feedline is located between two substrate. The simulated results show that the antenna S11<-10dB is 2.3GHz-5.2GHz, and the port isolation is greater than 25dB. The measured results show that the antenna impedance bandwidth is 2.6GHz-5.6GHz, and the port isolation is greater than 22dB.
