A $\pm \boldsymbol{45}^{\circ}$ dual-polarized antenna array for 5G millimeter-wave base stations is presented in this paper. The designed antenna unit has a -10 dB impedance bandwidth of 22 to 28.1 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 24%. Port isolation within the impedance bandwidth is better than 50 dB. The E-plane half-power beamwidth is larger than 93° and the H-plane half-power beamwidth(HPBW) is larger than 121° in both polarization directions. A $\boldsymbol{1}\times \boldsymbol{8}$ array was formed using this antenna unit and then the array was simulated with 1D beam scanning. When the scanning gain of the array was decreased by 3 dB, the scanning range of both the low band and the center frequency point was from -60° to $+ \boldsymbol{58}^{\circ}$ , and the scanning range of the high band was $\pm \boldsymbol{63}^{\circ}$ .
