Abstract

The Fe 3 O 4 /CS/HNTs magnetic composites with ternary embedding structure were prepared by optimizing the experimental process conditions using halloysite (HNTs) as the carrier. The effects of the amount of the composite, the reaction time and the pH of the solution on the adsorption performance of methylene blue (MB) were also investigated. The adsorption results showed that the adsorption capacity of methylene blue (MB) was up to 48.74 mg/g at pH = 8, 0.10 g of adsorbent, 50 mg/L of methylene blue (MB) and 60 min. Using the Langmuir isothermal model, the quasi-secondary kinetic model and this calculation, it can be determined that the adsorption process is a heat absorption process that can be carried out spontaneously.
