Abstract

Handwritten character recognition (HCR) plays a vital role in numerous domains, including document digitization, automatic text recognition, signature verification, and postal automation. Over the years, significant advancements have been made in the field of HCR, driven by the ever-growing demand for accurate and efficient recognition systems. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of the techniques, methodologies, and recent advancements in handwritten character recognition.
