Removal of Heavy Metal Ions and Magnetic Materials from Water

Abstract

Heavy metals are presently found in the majority of industrial effluents and are one of the highly serious ecological hazards. As a result, removing contaminants from water or wastes is crucial for human health as well as for protection of our living environment. The adsorption approach is increasingly employed by the researchers due to its good results and necessitating the development of low-cost adsorbents to remove these metal pollutants. Magnetic materials have recently become popular due to their magnetic behavior. These are being used as effective as well as cost-effective adsorbent materials for eliminating heavy metal pollutants owing to their high absorption efficiencies.
