Abstract

A CPW-fed wide-slot dual-band antenna is presented. The proposed dual-band antenna consists of a lower band element and two identical upper band elements by sharing the structure. The upper band antenna is placed on the ground of the lower band antenna to achieve miniaturization. The simulated results show that the bandwidth of the dual-band antenna in the lower band and the upper band are 117.8% (0.698-2.7 GHz) and 58.1% (3.3-6 GHz), and the isolation between three ports is greater than 15 dB. The proposed antenna achieves simple structure, broadband dual-band and better radiation efficiency in a specific direction with an overall size of 0.26λ × 0.24λ ×0.002λ (λ is the free-space wavelength at the lowest frequency).
