Aircraft Jet Engine Electrical Starting System

Abstract

This paper presents the study and analysis of the parameters of aircraft electricalstarting system by using multi-method multi-step starting process. The most importantparameters of any starting system are the efficiency of the starting system, the durationtime of the starting cycle, the starting torque and the current variation during startingoperation, in addition to the size, weight and cost. The importance of each parameter isdepending on the purpose of the aircraft as well as the jet engine included.
