Abstract

It is shown that the positions of the flux ropes in the general spatial structure of the active region magnetic field reconstructed in the NLFFF approximation for flares with and without CME are different: magnetic flux ropes are located quasi-parallel to the overlying magnetic field lines in the events with CME, and quasi-perpendicular in the "confined" events.
