Abstract

Abstract In the current chapter, we present a very special and useful class of mathematical structures, which play an important role in the algebraic description of logic. These structures, called lattices, can be characterized both as relational structures (pertaining to the notion of implication), and as algebraic structures (pertaining to the notions of conjunction and disjunction)..
