Abstract

The article discusses some features of the development of unmanned technologies in maritime transport from the twentieth century to the modern period preceding the current decade. The prerequisites for the formation of the concept of autonomous navigation are investigated, as well as work was carried out to delimit the generations of development of the studied technical units.
