Optimal inverter control for grid voltage unbalance mitigation

Abstract

This paper provides a positive and negative sequence dq domain inverter control system to perform voltage unbalance mitigation and voltage regulation. This control system ensures that the inverter performs voltage regulation by means of reactive power compensation and transfers active and reactive power between the three phases to perform voltage unbalance mitigation. Detailed designs of the control system are provided, and the desired response and accurate compensation of the inverter are verified by measurements using an experimental setup.
