Intelligent control of chain tension of mining scraper conveyor based on fuzzy adaptive algorithm

Abstract

The current tension control of scraper chains mainly relies on load prediction algorithms, but this method is easily affected by the resistance value of the bottom chain, resulting in a high overshoot after control. Therefore, an intelligent control of chain tension for mining scraper conveyors based on fuzzy adaptive algorithm is proposed. According to the automatic adjustment principle of the tension of the scraper conveyor chain, the constitutive model of the chain is divided into multiple discrete tension units to construct a dynamic model of the chain transmission. Combined with the linear density function of the circular chain material, the resistance value of the bottom chain is calculated, and based on the internal width matrix of the chain, the chain tension is calculated. Based on this, a fuzzy adaptive algorithm is used to design the controller, and the parameters of the controller are automatically adjusted, Make the tension control value infinitely close to the expected value in the near future, thereby achieving intelligent control of the tension of the scraper chain. The test results show that the control overshoot of the proposed method is low and the control effect is good.
