Intrinsically Healable Fabrics (Adv. Mater. Technol. 17/2023)

Abstract

Healable Fabrics Intrinsically healable electrospun fabrics are developed by Jiun-Tai Chen and co-workers in article 2300291. By introducing crystalline domains to the self-healing materials, the electrospun healable fibers can maintain the fibrous structure. The nonwoven fabrics are porous, flexible, waterproof, and stretchable; when damaged, the fabrics show healing capability when pressures are applied to the overlapped regions even underwater.
