Adaptive Beam Control for Optical Inter-Satellite Communication Systems

Abstract

We present our recent research on adaptive beam control technique for intersatellite laser links. Adverse effects of pointing errors and angular-of-arrival fluctuations are mitigated by adjusting beam divergence and convergence angles adaptively to transmission conditions.
