V2X (Vehicle to Everything) in India

Abstract

V2X is a communication technology for vehicles. Vehicles can communicate with each other, with infrastructure, pedestrians, network or any IOT (Internet of Thing) device to exchange information that is used in various applications that can aid in Intelligent Transportation and building smart cities. It is being developed, standardized, and regulated in many countries across all continents. As most other countries, India faces traffic and transportation issues including safety and cost. This paper discusses how V2X can emerge as a comprehensive and viable solution for various such challenges in an Indian context.
