Supervision, mentorship, and coaching

Abstract

This chapter explores the distinct roles of mentors, supervisors, and coaches in medical education. Although used interchangeably, these are quite different relationships all deeply ingrained in trust which enables medical students to set insightful life goals through reflection and feedback and develop skills for eventual career growth and development.
