Application Scenarios and Deployment Schemes of 5G Multi-Access Edge Computing

Abstract

Multi-access edge computing technology, as one of the key 5G technologies, enables localized deployment of content, applications and services by migrating computing storage capabilities and business service capabilities to the network edge. It can effectively improve the task execution efficiency and meet the user's strict task delay requirements by deploying high-performance MEC servers at the edge of Radio Access Network (RAN). Moreover, it has attracted extensive attention from customers in vertical industries due to its ability to facilitate differentiated business needs for applications in different industries. In this paper, the application scenarios and deployment schemes of 5G multi-access edge computing were mainly discussed.
