High Step-up DC/DC Converter Based on Switched Inductor and Switched Capacitor Unit

Abstract

In this paper, a novel high step-up non-isolated DC-DC converter based on switched inductor and switched capacitor voltage doubler is proposed, which is suitable for new energy systems with low output voltage including fuel cell, photovoltaic, etc. In the converter, the high voltage gain is achieved by replacing the inductor in the conventional interleaved parallel connection with a switched inductor unit and adding a voltage doubler composed of switched capacitors in the output side. In addition, the proposed high step-up converter provides lower voltage stress on switches and diodes. In this paper, the operating principle, parameter design and theoretical efficiency calculation are analyzed in detail. Finally, the experimental results are given to verify the theoretical analysis in the paper.
