Multi-GNSS Near-Real-Time Tropospheric Parameter Estimation and Meteorological Applications

Abstract

The GNSS tropospheric product has shown its great potential to meteorological and spatial geodetic applications. In this chapter, we firstly introduced the background, basic theory and methods for multi-GNSS near-real-time tropospheric parameter estimations, exampled by the E-GVAP WUHM analysis center. The advantages of short time delay and high accuracy for the operational multi-GNSS NRT tropospheric parameter were then validated. Afterwards, we presented the status, methods and some results for data assimilation, weather forecasting and PPP augmentation applications wherein the effectiveness of the NRT tropospheric parameter was illustrated.
