Abstract

This article presents the results of an experimental activity on the concepts of light, colors and shadows carried out in a second-grade high school class at the EEEFM Maria de Novaes Pinheiro school. The experiment in question demonstrates in a practical way the existence of the visible color spectrum, the RGB (Red, Green, Blue), and also the presence of penumbra and umbra. This project was carried out by students of the Degree in Physics at IFES, Campus Cariacica, as part of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID).The intervention was carried out face-to-face in the midst of the process of returning to face-to-face classes during the covid-19 pandemic, with the participation of 30 students in total. The analyses of the information collected during the intervention showed interest and dedication to the activity on the part of the students.
