Blockchain Technology-Based Industrial Internet of Things: Research Challenges

Abstract

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology is growing popular among industries over the world. The IIoT employs and raises demand for sensor technology. The widespread development of industrial applications using wireless networks and cloud computing with the Internet of technology has expedited IIoT technology. The integration of cloud computing with the Internet of Things is majorly used to monitor enormous among of generated data. In order to reduce cost, IIoT faces many challenges in finding solutions to the changes in process control, automation process, and resource constraints. Blockchain technology is an emerging technical term trend set that grasps the attention of researchers. Blockchain technology is shaping the industrial sectors to carry out secure transactions in a trustless and decentralized environment. This chapter discusses how blockchain technology solves the above issues in the IIoT.
