Research on Heuristic Task Scheduling Method in Cloud Edge Collaborative Environment

Abstract

As a new computing mode, edge computing can deal with computing tasks caused by a large amount of data generated by terminals in a timely and effective manner. Intelligent scheduling of computing tasks is studied based on the three-tier cloud-edge-end architecture. First, the edge servers are grouped, and the auction algorithm is improved by using the bidding method based on the critical price. The computing tasks generated by the terminal are scheduled to the edge server group, then the optimized Grey Wolf algorithm is used to further schedule the task to the edge server in the group. The experiment shows that the improved "two-step" task scheduling algorithm can effectively reduce the task execution delay, and the effect of reducing the delay is more obvious with the increase of the number of terminal tasks and edge servers.
