Research on Roaming Architecture in Future Integrated Satellite-Terrestrial Network

Abstract

With the fast development of communication technologies and capabilities, the satellite network has become the key research prospect of the future sixth generation (6G) network, and it can be treated as an important supplement for the coverage of ground network. This paper investigates the current development status of roaming architecture in ground mobile network and satellite mobile network. It introduces the service requirements of roaming with satellite access and proposed roaming architectures as well as some potential key issues to be resolved in future Integrated Satellite-Terrestrial Network (ISTN).
