Wavelet-Based Hybrid Energy Storage System for Smoothing Electric Tractor Power Fluctuations

Abstract

The electric tractor is based on utilizing electric power to support driving and working loads for the tractor to realize independent speed regulation. In addition, more and more driving loads have been equipped in the electric tractor that incurs randomness and intermittence. Motivated by this, this paper proposed an advanced electrical system that includes hybrid energy storage system and double motors for electric tractor. The online-wavelet transform is then applied to distinguish the frequency of power fluctuations for hybrid energy storage system reference, and reduces the dependence on historical data. Then, the high frequency power adjustment coefficient is introduced to realize the voltage control of supercapacitor terminal. The simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
