Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational commitment and human resource development on employee performance at the Medan City sub-district office.The method used in this research is quantitative.This research was conducted at the Medan City District Head Office.The population in this study included all employees at the Medan City District Office, totaling 35 people.The sample is determined by using the saturated sampling technique.This study used observation, documentation, and questionnaires with a Likert scale to collect data.The results showed that organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Medan City subdistrict office.And the development of human resources has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Medan City Sub-District Head Office.As well as organizational commitment, human resource development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Medan City Sub-District Head Office.This study adds to our understanding of how to improve the performance of existing employees at the Medan City sub-district office by increasing existing employee commitment to employees and providing training.
