Cover Feature: Redox‐Stabilized Sn/SnO2 Nanostructures for Efficient and Stable CO2 Electroreduction to Formate (ChemElectroChem 8/2023)

Abstract

The Cover Feature shows redox-modulated Sn/SnO2 catalysts for stable and active CO2 electrolysis to formate. This well-established balance between the electrochemical reduction of SnO2 to Sn and the chemical oxidation of Sn to SnO2 stabilizes the active Sn/SnO2 surfaces over prolonged CO2 electrolysis over a wide pH range of electrolytes.
