Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) became one of the hottest topics in many research fields, including solid-state heterogeneous catalysts due to their special structure diversity and intrinsic features such as well-defined porosity and accessible organic struts organic−inorganic hybrid structures, and defects in the structure. These MOFs synthesize with a metal center together with an organic linker molecule in one-, two- and three-dimensional structures and its dimensions, controllable morphology through strategic synthetic methods. This chapter mainly focuses on the intrinsic properties of MOFs in heterogeneous catalysts, effects of post-treatments on MOFs in heterogeneous catalysts, support of nanomaterials in MOFs, and catalytic applications.
