To address in-phase and quadrature-phase imbalances in uplink massive multi-input multi-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems, Channel Estimation of OFDM-MIMO examines the estimation of channel and robust detection (IQI). The received signal is modelled using a real-valued approach, and the wireless channel and IQI combination is taken into account as the effective channel. The effective channel is then determined using the least mean square error (MSE) criterion based on the real-valued model. In order to lower pilot overhead and demonstrate that the MSE of the effective channel estimate may be reduced by appropriately timing the pilot phase shifts, this experimental work employs adjustable phase shift pilots (APSPs). Numerous numerical examples are shown to show the performance of the resilient data detection and the channel estimation with APSPs.
