Abstract

The rise in energy depletions of the present wireless networks, motivates the development of energy-efficient 5G systems. In order to increase energy efficiency (EE), the achievable data rate of cell edge users, the fairness, and the likelihood of outage decreasing, a Fair-Energy Efficient Power Allocation Algorithm (FEPAA) for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) Downlink System with an Imperfect Channel State Information (CSI) is proposed in this paper. The signals of each user are superimposed at the transmitter in the code or power domain in the NOMA downlink system, and successive interference cancellation (SIC) is used at the receiver to distinguish the users. In the proposed article data outage and EE are investigated by considering the imperfect CSI. Simulation findings show that the throughput and EE can be improved significantly with a modest fairness index by the proposed FEPAA with NOMA downlink system for imperfect CSI in contrast with standard orthogonal multiple access (OMA) system.
