Abstract

Cartoonists with their accompanying biting wit have always been feared by dictators. The Nazis hated British cartoonists such as David Low who ridiculed them and their anti-Semitism. Goebbels sponsored a travelling exhibition, Der Ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew) replete with cartoons.
