Design and Implementation of a Smart Health Monitoring Device using a Wearable Vest

Abstract

Aging results from the impact of the accumulation of a wide variety of molecular and cellular damage over time. This leads to a gradual decrease in physical and mental capacity, as growing risk of disease and ultimately death. Using devices such as a health monitoring vest can help reduce this risk and keep the healthcare professionals in touch with the patient. Thus, this paper is headed towards implementing a series of sensors that collect health data from the user and store it on a private server. A chat box is designed in such a way the medical supervisors can send any recommended message to the patient after reviewing his records. The whole system is installed into a compatible box to group all the components that are built directly into the main board in one safe place. The performance of this system is analyzed thoroughly and the accuracy of all subparts is considered carefully and evaluated. Each part of the system was tested successfully and the overall system operates very well. The results have shown no faulty errors and good accuracy and detection percentages.
