MXenes, the flagship material of the two-dimensional family, have received significant attention in recent years because of their inherent electrical conductivity, highly active and functional surfaces, hydrophilic nature, and more. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is a perilous problem that arises from electrostatic discharge, electronic gadgets, lightning, solar flares, and the like. Continuous exposure to these radiations is harmful for to humankind as well as electronic devices. So it is very important to block or reduce these radiations by fabricating lightweight, corrosion-resistant, flexible shielding materials. MXenes, against this backdrop, can act as excellent radiation shielding materials. In this chapter, the authors propose a brief idea about the EMI shielding and microwave absorption properties of MXene–polymer nanocomposites.
