Plasmonic Properties of Ag-CuS Core-Shell Nanoparticles

Abstract

In this work the plasmonic properties of spherical, prolate and oblate shape Ag-CuS core-shell nanoparticles were theoretically studied. Extinction cross-section spectra of the core-shell nanoparticles were calculated depending on ration between the core and shell thicknesses. It was shown that prolate and oblate shape of the Ag-CuS core-shell nanoparticles are characterized by the two peaks and demonstrate higher intensity of the plasmonic peaks comparison to the spherical ones. Such nanoparticles can be used for the enhanced electromagnetic field in different applications.
