Mean-field model of tetrapartite synapse

Abstract

The study of the mechanisms of occurrence and control of bursting activity is an important task of modern neurodynamics. Bursting activity underlies the cognitive functions of the brain and is associated with learning and memory. In this paper, a mean-field model of a tetrapartite synapse is proposed, which considers extrasynaptic mechanisms of regulation of rhythmogenesis in the brain.
