Análisis de un relato sufí de Mevlana Djalâl-od-Dîn Rumî desde el Adab sufí

Abstract

In the Islamic tradition the adab has different levels of significance that intertwine religion, cultural wisdom, intellectual disciplines, and social norms and etiquette. Although this was adopted by tasawwuf, Islamic mysticism, since classical times, the most profound researches about the relationship between the two domains are rather recent. The present paper aims to interpret a story of Mavlānā Yalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī ‘s Masnavi in the light of the Sufi idea of the adab, to explore the possible link between the notions of the inner-esoteric (batin), and the outer-exoteric (zahir), and the behavioral etiquette of the adab in its classic sense.
